About Victor

Victor Raigoza, a candidate for the Democratic nomination for  New Mexico State Senate District 10, has lived in the district for more than four years.

Victor, 43, is a financial advisor and limited partner in Edward Jones & Co. He manages millions of dollars in monetary investment for hundreds of clients in New Mexico and the United States.

He led a coalition that in 2006 successfully prevented the opening of a Wal-Mart on Osuna, thereby preserving critical hot-air balloon landing space and uniting divergent business and neighborhood interests.

His other community leadership includes:

• Member, Albuquerque's Accountability and Government Oversight Committee, which monitors and approves municipal audits.

• Vice President, New Mexico Holocaust and Intolerance Museum.

• Board member, Popejoy Center for the Arts.

• Director, Janke Scholarship, helping to recognize outstanding teachers and instructors statewide.
